Which Items Should You Upgrade First In The Lost Crown?

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is set on Mount Qaf, which is equally mysterious and dangerous. To combat the threats on Mount Qaf, Sargon needs new weapons and abilities. Not long after starting the game, players will find Menolias’ bow and Chakram.

Both of these weapons are required to open doors and new pathways. Aside from these two weapons, Sargon also gains Time Powers, making traversal more exciting. While it makes sense to slowly upgrade every item in the game, resources are scarce. So, The Lost Crown players should focus on certain items before others.

Players should mainly focus on Sargon’s swords, which are his main weapons. Melee combat is a big focus in The Lost Crown, so Sargon’s swords should be the first to be upgraded fully to help him deal with the dangerous bosses in the game. Upgrading the swords requires Azure Damascus Ingots, a rare material that should be treated as such.

The next priority for players should be Menolias’ Bow and Chakram. It is going to be Sargon’s primary method of targeting faraway enemies. So, it is absolutely important for players to max out the bow. It also requires Azure Damascus Ingots, the same resource as the swords, which is why it is sensible to wait until the swords are completely upgraded.

The next upgrades should cover the Amulets. There are 38 Amulets in The Lost Crown, but not all of them are worth the investment. Players need to focus on specific ones that are guaranteed to help them progress smoothly. For instance, the Blessing Amulet increases the health bars, which is a great help against the bosses in the game.

The only drawback is that these health bars can only be recovered by resting at a Wak-Wak Tree.

Blade Dancer is another Amulet that comes in handy throughout The Lost Crown. As players upgrade it, it extends the combo. This makes it a great choice for dealing with mobs who take more than a couple of hits. Therefore, it should be one of the few items to be upgraded first.

There are a few better Amulets than Shield of Mithra. It is an immensely powerful Amulet that creates a bubble in which time is slowed down. It starts with a small bubble, but as players upgrade it, the size increases, allowing them to capture more enemies after a successful parry.

The final Amulet that players should invest in is Ard’s Fortune. It is an extremely useful Amulet that increases the amount of Time Crystals players earn after killing an enemy. The amount they drop improves as the Amulet is upgraded. All of these items should be upgraded as early as possible.
