The topic seems to come up almost every year at OS as folks ask what the next Madden will be called after Madden NFL 24 drops. As most of you are aware, Madden NFL 25 was released back in 2013 with Barry Sanders on the cover of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version of the game and Adrian Peterson on the cover of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Madden series.
Now that Super Bowl LVIII has brought the season to an official close, it’s time to bring it to the forefront. Most feel it will simply be named Madden NFL 25. However, could they finally drop the Madden name and go with what seems to be the standard of what they are calling their EA Sports games lately? EA Sports FC 24, EA Sports PGA Tour… EA Sports NFL Football 25? Maybe?
While we know we’ll have multiple announce teams coming in the Madden series we probably won’t hear much from the team until the cover reveal in June. However, it’s always fun to speculate. The crew at r/Madden had their fun with it.
