The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered Dev Says Players Are “Not Ready” for “Stressful” Roguelike Survival Mode

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered is set to make a number of notable improvements and additions to Naughty Dog’s acclaimed action-adventure title, but the one that’s perhaps the most notable is its new roguelike survival mode, titled No Return. In fact, the game’s developers themselves are hyping up the mode and what it will bring to the table.

Recently, Del Walker, senior character artist at Naughty Dog, took to Twitter to talk about how “stressful” No Return is going to be, saying that the mode is “not recommended for weak hearts”. Stressful gameplay is, of course, something that The Last of Us Part 2 excels at, so this shouldn’t come as a surprise.

“I don’t think you guys are ready for just how STRESSFUL the survival mode is for The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered,” Walker wrote. “Not recommended for weak hearts.”

No Return is set to feature 10 different playable characters, and is rumoured to have 12 unique locations. Head here for more details on exactly how the mode will work.

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered is set to launch for PS5 on January 19.
