Netmarble opens pre-registration for action RPG anime adaption Solo Leveling: Arise

It has been close to three years since Netmarble announced they would be adapting the smash series Solo Leveling into a video game, and at last, they have announced the opening of pre-orders for Solo Leveling: Arise.

Solo Leveling follows the story of Jinwoo, a hunter barely worthy of the title. One day, he and his fellow fighters were taking on an incredibly powerful double dungeon that almost kills them all, until Jinwoo is the sole human chosen to receive the ability to level up his power, setting him on course for greatness.

Players will step into Jinwoos’ now limitless shoes and follow along with his story from the hit series that boasts over 14.3 billion views, a number so ridiculous I’m wondering if they also added each page read from the novel as a view. You will be able to team up with other hunters from the story, or summon your own army of shadows using Jinwoos’ iconic command; Arise.

One very interesting thing that jumped out at me is the claim that players are able to create their own combat styles, relying on various combinations of skills and weapons. It is not very clear if this means something as simple as equipping a sword and then doing a basic then heavy attack and counting it as a style, or if it’s going to be much more customisable, but it is something to watch out for.

If this interests you, then as always you might want to pre-register to reap some shiny rewards. Add your name to the list, and you will nab yourself a Chic Black Suit for Sung Jinwoo, two Mana Power Crystals of each attribute and Legendary Artifact Sets. Oddly, there is also a separate reward if you head to the website and register with your email; the hunter Yoo Jinho.

Pre-register Solo Leveling: Arise now from the App Store and Google Play.
