Mortal Kombat 1 Krypt Guide

So, let’s delve deeper into the Krypt mode!

What is the Mortal Kombat 1 Krypt?

The Krypt is a feature that was implemented into past entries in the Mortal Kombat franchise. In short, you spend your in-game currency (or Koins) on chests for brand-new items. However, the Krypt isn’t in Mortal Kombat 1. It was a key feature in many Mortal Kombat games, so it’ll be a little weird not seeing it in the latest installment. No need to fret though, as it’s been more or less replaced by something called Invasion Mode. It’s a more in-depth and challenging version of the Krypt, allowing you to practice using characters outside of the usual arcade-style battles and story missions.

Invasion Mode

Invasion Mode isn’t exactly the same as the Krypt, but it takes place on a board-game style layout with a wide range of opponents to battle against. An Invasion contains tons of secret chests to find with a plethora of rewards – including gear/cosmetics! Additionally, the seasons and maps will change over time.

Furthermore, Invasion Mode allows you to obtain Relics and buffs that can help your party as you progress.
