Gamers had been eagerly waiting for some official information about the next title in the Grand Theft Auto series for years, and the GTA 6 trailer managed to live up to many fans’ expectations. Despite releasing ahead of schedule, the GTA 6 trailer has garnered over 88 million views on YouTube, setting a new milestone for Rockstar. While not a lot of information was revealed about the game, players have already started deconstructing the trailer for any details they can find about the game’s story, its protagonists, or the new features it could introduce. While doing so, fans managed to compare the locations shown in the trailer to their real-life counterparts, and they were pleasantly surprised by the resemblance between the two.

Adin Ross Claims He Was Cast in Grand Theft Auto 6

Controversial Kick streamer Adin Ross claims that he’s part of Grand Theft Auto 6’s cast, but his alleged role is still under wraps.

Grand Theft Auto 6 marks the franchise’s return to Vice City, around 21 years after the launch of GTA: Vice City. According to a post by user booxtab8 on the Rockstar subreddit, the coastal metropolis shown in the GTA 6 trailer bears a striking resemblance to Miami, and the locations shown in the trailer are proof of the same. The game’s map might not be an exact replica of Miami, but the recreation of Miami Beach, the neon-lit hotels on the beachfront, the city’s skyscrapers, and several other locations are quite accurate. Furthermore, the trailer also includes an aerial shot of a road passing through the ocean, which takes after the road leading up to Key West, Florida in real life.

Aside from this, the GTA 6 trailer also showcased the game’s female protagonist, Lucia. This is in line with several leaks that already confirmed that GTA 6 will feature a female protagonist, which also mentioned that the male protagonist will be called Jason. Some leaks also mentioned that GTA 6 could have a story inspired by Bonnie and Clyde, which now looks likely considering Jason and Lucia are also shown to be a couple towards the end of the trailer. However, it is too early to draw any conclusions considering Rockstar is targeting a 2025 release for GTA 6.

The timing of the trailer release is also interesting as The Game Awards is scheduled for December 7, 2023. This has fans wondering if Rockstar has an additional surprise in store for them, and could showcase some more information regarding GTA 6 at The Game Awards ceremony.
