Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty patch 2.02 release date prediction and highlights

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty has unsurprisingly been released to critical acclaim, and CD Projekt Red is set to continue its steady stream of improvements to the futuristic RPG with patch 2.02. Although the changes included in the next update predictably aren’t as significant as those introduced with patch 2.0, some of these fixes finally address issues that prevented some players from finishing certain quests.

One of the changes the developers highlighted was a fix to “an issue where cyberware could get downgraded to Tier 1 after updating the game to [patch] 2.01.” This should finally make it easier for you to equip V with the best tech available from any ripperdoc in Night City – just as long as you know how to get Street Cred in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty.

In addition to the cyberware bug resolution, another fix will be introduced that prevents V from flatlining after entering the Delamain AV in the Path of Glory main quest. If you’ve been having trouble completing this job because of this specific issue, this should finally allow you to finish it so you can eventually gain that elusive The Sun tarot card achievement it’s linked to.

Remember, though, that these are merely the highlights, and the actual list of patch notes will contain much more once it’s released. In the meantime, you can check out the ones that CD Projekt Red has already provided below.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty patch 2.02 release date prediction

We expect the Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty patch 2.02 to be released in early November. Though CD Projekt Red has yet to provide an actual launch window, the update will likely be made available sooner rather than later, as they’ve already given out a few highlights. Here are some of the changes you can expect:

  • V will no longer flatline after entering the Delamain AV in Path of Glory.
  • Fixed the shutters blocking entry to Black Sapphire in Run This Town.
  • Fixed an issue where cyberware could get downgraded to Tier 1 after updating the game to 2.01.
  • Fixed skill progression passives.
  • Rebalanced the timers in courier missions.

Developer Note: The issue where players on Xbox Series X|S are not receiving the Quadra Sport R-7 “Vigilante” pre-order bonus is still under investigation. We’re working together with Microsoft to identify the root cause and bring you a fix as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
