Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 has been a wild ride so far. There’s a massive emphasis on vehicles, and the game has adopted an apocalypse theme. There is a lot of new content to be excited for in the near future, so this season has the potential to be one of the best. However, a new Fortnite update has provided huge buffs and nerfs, and some fans are upset that cars have been nerfed again.
There is a new Fortnite update coming next week with new content already leaked. Epic has begun teasing the arrival of Metallica, and it should be a fantastic celebration of good music that also lends credence to the belief that the previously leaked roadmap for 2024 is accurate. Assuming this roadmap is accurate, fans have a tremendous year ahead.
While next week’s update is exciting, Epic recently released a new hotfix. This update has introduce lots of significant buffs and nerfs, including more nerfs for cars.
New Fortnite update buffs and nerfs
Below is the list of nerfs and buffs provided in the latest Fortnite hotfix update:
- Nitro Splash Max Stack increased from 4 to 6
- Nitro Energy gives infinite stamina now
- Vehicle Machine Guns Damage nerfed from 30 to 27
- Vehicle Machine Guns Fire Rate nerfed by 7%
- Vehicle Grenade Launcher Damage nerfed from 70 to 65
- Nitro Gauntlets Damage to Builds nerfed by 50%
- Nitro Gauntlets Air Punch Damage nerfed from 70 to 50
- Explosive Bow Builds Damage nerfed from 90/95/99/104 to 45/47/50/52
- Tactical AR Damage Buffed from 19/20/21/22/23 to 20/21/22/23/24
- Harbinger SMG Fire Rate Buffed by 5%
- Harbinger SMG Reload time Buffed by 4%

Judging by the replies, some fans are upset that cars have been nerfed again. Below is the list of nerfs to cars from a previous update:
- Unvaulted Boogie Bombs
- Boom Bolt Damage Multiplier to vehicles increased from x3 to x3.7
- Nitro Gauntlets recharge rate increased from 8s to 11s
- Vehicles have 18% less HP in Solos now
- Fire Rate Multiplier when you’re in a nitro car reduced from x1.5 to x1.25
- Grenade Turrets Damage to builds reduced from 250 to 150
- Boss cars do not automatically regen health anymore
- Reduced Machine Gun Turrets accuracy
- Reduced Nitro shoulder bash damage to players
