GUILBEAULT GRATES

Re: Feds won’t fund new roads, existing network ‘perfectly adequate,’ Guilbeault says, online, Feb. 13

Climate change czar Steven Guilbeault has a real knack for grating on people. He has basically said that the feds will no longer build any more roads and even though they have been pushing EVs, these are not the real solution.

Herding the great unwashed into public or government transit like cattle is the only answer in his carbon-free eyes. I cannot remember a politician as arrogant, and this includes Trudeau. Apparently his family does not own a vehicle, but that does not stop Earth’s general from being chauffeured all around town and jetted to exotic locations so that he and his fellow climate gurus can discuss how they can make life worse for us poor sods.

For the love of Pete, this man and the rest of his political ilk cannot vacate the reins of power soon enough.

REBRAND? TRY REBRIBE

Re: It won’t make a difference; Painful truth about Trudeau’s ‘rebranded’ carbon tax, Feb. 18

The Fiberals can call their rebrand whatever they wish, but if they’re aiming for accuracy, or even truth-in-advertising, might I suggest it be called the Canada Carbon Rebribe? After all, that’s really what it is: a bribe to counter the costs of the Liberal carbon tax.

And when Fiberal MPs try to scare Canadians with the lie that the Conservatives are taking away this payment that so many “depend on,” I can’t believe Conservatives don’t fire back with the obvious truth rejoinder. Those who supposedly depend on this rebate only “need” it because of the Liberal carbon tax.

Once the Conservatives “axe the tax,” Canadians will save far more by no longer paying the tax than the rebate returns.

WHO DOES THAT?

Re: ‘Absolutely terrible’; Pro-Hamas supporters surrounding Jewish hospital a hate crime, Feb. 14

What kind of human beings show up at a hospital in order to disrupt the life-and-death circumstances that our doctors and nurses face every day? Had the person who was on the Mount Sinai Hospital awning fallen, he would have been treated in that very hospital with the utmost care by the doctors and nurses inside. Sadly, some of these Pro-Hamas supporters are so full of hate they can’t see, nor do they care, how idiotic their actions are.
