World of Warcraft Fans are Not Happy About the Trading Post Reward

Highlights

  • World of Warcraft fans are unhappy with the Burden of Unrelenting Justice transmog set due to its color-changing nature based on the time of day.
  • Players dislike that the transmog set makes it difficult to mix and match with other armor sets and that they cannot choose a specific color.

World of Warcraft fans are not happy with the Burden of Unrelenting Justice, a color-changing cosmetic reward from the Trading Post. While an otherwise excellent outfit, World of Warcraft players dislike that the new transmog set changes appearance based on the time of day.

At the beginning of the year, World of Warcraft introduced the Trading Post–an in-game store where players could buy cosmetics using a special in-game currency. It also revealed the Burden of Unrelenting Justice, a transmog World of Warcraft players could get by completing their Trading Post tasks for a whole year. While players weren’t happy with the steep unlock requirements, they were excited enough to finally get a Warden outfit in World of Warcraft that they set aside their misgivings and began the long grind.

How World of Warcraft’s Trading Post Has Evolved Over Its First Year

The Trading Post has proven to be one of the best new additions in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, and it may continue to be for years to come.

A year later, however, players have another reason to be unhappy with Warden transmog in World of Warcraft. In a recent post, WoW reminded players they can start getting the Burden of Unrelenting Justice in January. That said, it also confirmed the transmog shifts between two colors based on the server time: green and gold during the day, and white and silver at night. While an interesting gimmick at face value, fans are upset that this feature makes it almost impossible to mix and match the armor with other transmogs, and that they can’t just choose which color to use.

How to Get the Burden of Unrelenting Justice in World of Warcraft

  • Have an active subscription to World of Warcraft.
  • Complete the monthly Adventurer’s Log tasks for the Trading Post and collect the free reward.
  • Repeat this for 12 months to earn the Trading Post Enthusiast achievement, which rewards the Burden of Unrelenting Justice transmog set.
    • These months do not have to be consecutive.
    • Players who have not missed a month since the Trading Post opened can get the transmog set starting January 2024.

This new Warden transmog set matches Ash’adar, Harbinger of the Dawn, a color-changing mount given as the free reward from the Trading Post’s inaugural month in World of Warcraft. Though unique, players were unhappy with this mount as well because of its unpredictable nature. Strangely enough, the nighttime version of the spectral tiger mount keeps the green and gold armor, meaning it doesn’t actually match the Burden of Unrelenting Justice anyway.

Needless to say, fans hope World of Warcraft changes this set to be three separate transmogs–one for each hue, and a third that changes color. The Wardens are an iconic and stylish faction, so a transmog of their armor is something Night Elf players have wanted in WoW for many years.
