World of Horror Ritual Guide – Clap and Bow – Gamezebo

Confused about the World of Horror ritual feature? So was I at first! Once I started to understand how the rituals in the game work, it was pretty easy to follow – through lots of trial and error, of course.

World Of Horror is a terrifying 1-bit adventure game that combines a ruthless gameplay loop with the horror styles of Junji Ito and HP Lovecraft. Struggle through the worst week of your life as you go up against the machinations of an Old God and try to thwart its attempts to wreak havoc on Earth. The stakes are high, doom is coming, and the supernatural perils that plague the town of Shiokawa are taking a toll on your mind and body.

World of Horror Ritual Guide

Rituals are an important element in World of Horror, especially during turn-based combat. You need to perform each ritual correctly to defeat enemies (including bosses!). But how do you perform a ritual?

How to Perform a Ritual in World of Horror

During battles, you need to queue up a bunch of actions during your turn. The action bar on the screen determines how many actions you can set up. Clicking the “launch” button will start these actions, meaning you can’t go back to adjust them afterward! The Spiritual Actions section includes the Clap and Bow actions, which are part of the ritual. You need to select each action in a certain order to perform a ritual correctly.

However, each sequence differs depending on the run! This means that there is only one particular ritual combo during each playthrough – but it’s up to you to discover the correct one. Ghost enemies will not take damage from regular attack actions, so you’ll need to prioritise Clap and Bow within the Spiritual Actions section. I’d also like to mention that incorrectly performing a ritual during boss fights may summon a stronger version of the entity.
