First released back in November 2021, Halo Infinite‘s multiplayer component has been pretty divisive from day one. When it first released, many long-time Halo fans adored Halo Infinite‘s multiplayer, seeing it as the return to form that they’d wanted for years, with an increased focus on the same type of intense arena shooting gameplay that made the original trilogy’s multiplayer so beloved. Public reception surrounding Halo Infinite changed pretty quickly, and it all has to do with the game’s approach to the live-service model.
Very much still a hot topic in the gaming industry, the live-service model isn’t inherently bad, but it does tend to lead to bad products being made. It all comes down to how the developer uses the live-service model, and 343 Industries stumbled at every hurdle. Suffering from a severe lack of modes and maps at launch, Halo Infinite‘s live-service approach was fairly lackluster, though recent months have shown that 343 is trying to turn things back around. With that in mind, there’s a chance that February 2024 could end up being one of the best months in Halo Infinite history if all the franchise’s puzzle pieces come together.

February 2024 Could Be Huge for Halo Fans
Halo Season 2 Premieres in February
After a decade and a half of failed live-action projects, a Halo TV show finally made it to air in March 2022, and to many fans, it wasn’t exactly worth the wait. With some major changes to the inherent lore of Halo‘s universe and overarching story, some disappointing character designs, and some truly bizarre plot and character choices, the first season of the Paramount+ Halo show didn’t go down well with most fans. Still, it wasn’t all bad, with its action scenes being a standout.
Despite the backlash, Paramount+ greenlit a second Halo season before the first even came out, and now fans are just weeks away from seeing its first episodes. While it’s definitely too soon to judge, it does seem as though Halo Season 2 is trying to steer a bit more towards the usual Halo experience that fans know and love, with this season seemingly revolving around the pivotal Fall of Reach. Based on its trailers, Halo Season 2 might be giving fans exactly what they want in terms of story and action set pieces, with multiple shots in the trailers putting a fresh spin on iconic in-game moments, particularly from Halo Reach.
Premiering on February 8, 2024, Halo Season 2 on Paramount+ could be the subject of a rare redemption arc, and in that specific case, it seems likely that 343 Industries would want to capitalize on the show’s newfound success by doing some form of crossover. While this probably wouldn’t be an entire Season of content themed around the Halo show, a few cosmetics based on the show’s unique designs could be fun to see in Halo Infinite.
Halo Infinite Season 6 Is Set to Begin in February
Halo‘s second season isn’t the only piece of Halo content fans can look forward to in February 2024. According to Halo Infinite‘s in-game countdown, Halo Infinite Season 5 is set to end on January 30, which presumably means that Season 6 will follow closely behind it. This would mean that Halo Infinite‘s sixth Season would launch either on January 31 or February 1, 2024. Regardless, Halo Infinite‘s new Season will really hit its stride in early February, and while there’s no confirmed theme yet or confirmation of any content set to come to the game, it should still be exciting for fans of Halo Infinite, with 343 proving that the game still has plenty to offer.
