The Game Awards 2023 was full of announcements and surprises. Although marred by hurrying speeches along, the event largely lived up to providing a myriad of interesting trailers. One of the biggest and most exciting was the release date announcement for Ready Or Not 1.0. This sees the popular game finally leave early access after two years, and it will introduce plenty of new content to enjoy.

As mentioned, the Game Awards was a lot of fun in regard to trailers. There was the reveal of a Marvel’s Blade game from the creators of Dishonored, and there was the shadow drop of The Finals which has already hit over 200,000 concurrent players. There was also some controversy with God of War’s Kratos voice actor making a humorous joke at the expense of the MW3 campaign.

While the night was full of even more memorable moments including the speculator Herald of Darkness performance, it also included some release dates. One of the launch announcements was for Ready Or Not 1.0, and the multiplayer game is leaving early access in just a few days.

When does Ready Or Not 1.0 come out?

The release date for when Ready Or Not 1.0 will come out is December 13th. Developer and publisher, VOID Interactive, confirmed this with a trailer at The Game Awards 2023. Alas, no release time has been shared, so the exact launch hour for the update isn’t known. Still, it will come out for all owners of the game to enjoy on Wednesday.

It has been in early access since December 2021. The Steam overview says it was intended to stay in early access for 12 months, but it has been two years. If you want, you can buy and play the game right now in early access format on Steam for £30.99. There is no price increase for the full version.

If this is your first time playing the game, then you should know that it is an online tactical FPS. As part of SWAT police units, you need to defuse and confront hostile situations. You can either play solo with AI companions, or you can play online with four mates by your side.

Ready Or Not 1.0 new content

New content for Ready Or Not 1.0 includes the following:

  • Single-player campaign – Commander Mode
  •  More missions
  •  Most early access missions completely overhauled
  •  Quality of life improvements
  •  More customization
  •  More additional content

Alas, these are the only details provided so far. Still, the offering of more missions is exciting, as is the inclusion of the single-player campaign, Commander Mode. Again, if you don’t already own the game, you can buy a base copy for £30.99, or you can buy a Supporter Edition for £61.98 to get the following bonuses:

  • Ready or Not’s first expansion pack for free, when it releases.
  •  Ready or Not’s official soundtrack, upon full release.
  •  Access to the game’s experimental Supporter branch

And that’s all there is to know about when 1.0 will come out. Unfortunately, if you own a console and like the look of the game, there is no news about it coming to either PS5 or Xbox anytime in the future.
