With the gods taking over the island, something needs to be done! Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 Myths and Mortals has introduced a Greek mythology theme. Zeus, Ares, Hades, and Cerberus are the new bosses holding updated medallions.

If you’re looking to hunt and kill the gods, what better person to look to than God of War’s Kratos? The Spartan soldier devoted his life to getting revenge on the Olympian gods, with a particular animosity towards Zeus.

With a Kratos skin introduced to Fortnite in Chapter 2 Season 5, it seems apt to slip back into that outfit for the new campaign. Despite being a very popular skin, plenty of players won’t have unlocked it back in 2020. However, there could be some good news on the way…

Kratos coming to Fortnite (again)

Fortnite fans love to customise their avatars with the numerous accessories in the game. There have certainly been some standout attires over the years, with Kratos definitely one of them.

His skin has been dragged into the conversation again recently, thanks to the Greek mythology theme of the latest season. Many believe that he will be making a return to the game, and there are signs that show that could be the case!

Highlighted by u/Alphasilverhawk on Reddit, the Kratos skin received a slightly changed look with Update v29.00. His lobby pose now looks a lot angrier, as you can see below:

Perhaps he has sensed the presence of Olympian gods on the island and is ready to wreak some havoc! Especially against his father Zeus, who betrayed him.

In the Trivia section on the Fortnite Wiki, it tells us that: “In Update v29.00, Kratos’ lobby animation pose was updated for unknown reasons”. We can’t wait for those reasons to become known!

When the mythological theme of the season was announced, many fans speculated that Kratos would return. There was hope that a younger version would come to Fortnite, mirroring his beardless appearance from the earlier God of War games.

This was backed up by a Fortnite survey asking players about their opinions on 2005’s God of War. When this happens, it usually suggests upcoming collaborations Epic Games has in the works. That means a younger Kratos skin could certainly be on the cards!

Could we also see a re-release of the original Kratos Bundle? This would give fans who missed out the first time the chance to get his outfit, Mimir back bling, Leviathan Axe pickaxe, Freezing Burst emote, and Guardian Shield glider.
