Two teens charged after youth stabbed at Whitby GO Station

A youth was taken to a local trauma centre on Monday with serious injuries after being stabbed by two teens at the Whitby GO Station.

Durham Regional Police said that Central West Division officers responded to a robbery call on Monday at 8:25 p.m. at 1350 Brock St. S. after a youth was confronted in the parking garage by two males.

“The victim and the two suspects got into a physical altercation resulting in the victim being stabbed,” Const. Nicholas Gluckstein said. “The suspects fled the area on foot.”

The victim was taken to a GTA trauma centre with serious, non-life-threatening injuries, Gluckstein said.

Suspects were located nearby and taken into custody without incident, Gluckstein said, adding the victim and the suspects are known to each other and that police had no concerns about the public’s safety.

A 14-year-old male and a 15-year-old male, both from Whitby, are charged with aggravated assault, possessing a weapon dangerous to the public and failing to comply.
