The PMGC Grand Finalists are locked in with five survivors squeaking past the Last Chance stages

It has been a week of tremendous tension and spectacular shots, but the 2023 PUBG Mobile Global Championship has whittled down the 24 hopefuls to just five. These will take a step towards the grand final and a chance to win a piece of the $3 million prize pool.

In perhaps the most exciting week of the competition, obviously barring the granddaddy of them all, it was the final throw of the dice for these 24 teams as they went head to head-to-head and so on like a bickering gun-wielding Hydra in the Survival Stage and Last Change Stages. After failing to qualify during their Group Stages, they had it all to prove.

The Survival Stage kicked off with all 24 teams giving it their all, but unfortunately, eight fell, including Alter Ego and SEM9. Influence Rage, MadBull and D’Xavier all put in a good show, whilst qualifying with 112, 104, and 100 points, respectively. It would only be D’Xavier however who carried their form into the Last Chance Stage, dominating with four out of twelve wins and 108 points, with Infuence Rage and MadBull failing to advance.

Joining D’Xavier in the winner’s circle was Persija Evos all the way down at 92 points, but boasting the game’s MVP with RedFace and FaZe Clan with 87, and Yoodo Alliance with 82. Round out the winners however were underdogs IHC Esports, who managed to catapult from ninth place to fourth, so if you like Cinderella stories, keep your eyes on this one.

All of this to say, the PMGC Grand Finalists have all now booked their place on the big stage. The title of PUBG Mobile World Champion will be won by D’Xavier, Persija Evos, FaZe Clan, and IHC Esports. Yoodo Alliance, Loops, Alpha7, Stalwart Esports, Nongshim Redforce, Six Two Eight, Morph, Major Pride, 4Merical Vibes, or Team Weibo after qualifying, with S2G Esports and Titan Esports also in with a shout after special invitations from other tournament wins, who said nepotism was dead?

The PMCG Grand Finals will take place in Istanbul at the Ülker Sports and Event Hall between the 8th and 10th of December. If you can’t make it there because its Christmas and you are with family, then reassess your priorities, but also watch the action on YouTube, Facebook, Tiktok, and Twitch.
