This past weekend, Grammy-winning artist T-Pain confirmed his involvement with GTA 6 through an impromptu Twitch stream. In it, the beloved R&B artist revealed that Rockstar Games had prohibited him from joining roleplaying servers in GTA 5 “because it kind of goes against” the work that he’s done in the upcoming series entry. So even though details remain scarce on what T-Pain’s part in GTA 6 will be like, this hasn’t stopped fans from speculating on his role through social media.

Ahead of the GTA 6 release date, the hype train for the next series installment continues to chug right along, especially after T-Pain’s sudden reveal. Over on Reddit, numerous fans have already begun creating theories on his role, with most claiming that the Bartender crooner would likely be joining the game’s cast as a DJ à la Sasha Grey in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. One fan is even convinced that T-Pain “has to either be a radio host or a celebrity parody character similar to Lazlow or Jay Norris.”

Conversely, other players commended Rockstar Games for involving a beloved internet icon like T-Pain GTA 6, as one fan said: “If what he is saying is true, then GTA VI has the potential [to be] one of the most immersive video game[s] of all time.” Of course, these theories are all still speculation at this point, so we recommend taking these details with the customary grain of salt. However, we expect the development team to reveal more information in the coming months, so you may not have to wait too long.
