When Nintendo announced the Super Mario RPG earlier this summer, many people were surprised that the company was recreating a classic title. However, it now seems like Nintendo will pay homage to the classic version by allowing players to switch between the SNES and remake versions of the soundtrack.

This news was posted by a user on Twitter who shared a video showing a player switching the music between the two versions, all while Super Mario RPG updated graphics shine on. It seems similar to other remakes in that players can toggle it on and off at any point, showing how fluid and similar the two tracks are.

This information wasn’t announced during the September Nintendo Direct, with users instead finding the information on the game’s Japanese website. There are many clips of gameplay, screenshots, and other detailed information about what players can expect when the game releases on Nov. 17, 2023.

Another user on Twitter shared a detailed view of the Overworld map, which shows multiple unique zones that fans might recognize like a lake, a temple, and a large mountain.

The latest Nintendo Direct is likely the last full look players will get ahead of the game’s release in a couple of months.
