Remember Ubisoft’s Skull and Bones? The pirated-themed naval combat title was set to release earlier this year in March but faced a delay, adding to the various others since its official reveal in 2017. In its first half fiscal year 2024 earnings report, the publisher announced it’s launching in Q4 of FY 2023-2024.

Other titles slated for this window include Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora (launching in December), Assassin’s Creed Nexus VR (out in November) and Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown (releasing in January 2024). It could thus arrive sometime this year or in the early months of next year. Then again, it could also face another delay. At this point, anything goes.

Skull and Bones is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. It had a closed beta in August, while creative director Elisabeth Pellen, the third on the project thus far, departed in September. Stay tuned, as always, for more updates and check out some “narrative gameplay” here.
