Sea of Thieves closed beta PS5 release date, start time, rewards and how to preload

Sea of Thieves is part of the first group of Xbox console exclusives making their way to PS5. Hi-Fi Rush and Grounded have already joined PlayStation, and in just a few weeks everyone will get to play pirate. It has been one of Microsoft’s biggest console exclusives, and it’s a fantastic game. It has collaborated with Monkey Island before, and it has also collaborated with Disney as part of a crossover with Pirates of the Caribbean. PlayStation players will have access to all of the content and seasonal updates that have been added to the game ever since its initial launch back in 2018.

Sea of Thieves PS5 closed beta release date

The release date for the Sea of Thieves PS5 closed beta is April 12th. Meanwhile, the full game’s release date on PS5 is April 30th.

If you purchase the Premium edition, you will be able to get early access from April 25th. Unfortunately, the game is only launching on Sony’s current-gen machine meaning it will not be playable on PS4.

The release time for when the Sea of Thieves PS5 closed beta will start is 2 AM PT/ 5 AM ET/ 10 AM BST on April 12th. This is confirmed by the official SeaOfThieves Twitter account which says the demo will begin at 9 AM UTC.
