Best Confidants to recruit in Persona 5 Royal

There are a ton of people to choose from, but you should choose wisely when figuring out who’s best to level up. Let me showcase a list of the best Confidants to focus on, in my opinion, for the best rewards.

  • Hifumi
  • Tae Takemi
  • Sadayo Kawakami
  • Futaba Sakura
  • Kasumi Yoshizawa
  • Takuto Maruki
  • Ryuji

It’s hard to narrow down the best Confidants just to a few, as they all provide decent benefits. But let me explain why these seven Confidants are a must-have. First off, Hifumi grants you the incredible ability to swap out party members mid-battle, alongside other helpful bonuses. I used this so often, it should’ve been a normal feature. Tae Takemi offers you great healing items and accessories to wear in dungeons. The higher your rank with Tae Takemi, the stronger healing items you’ll receive.

Sadayo Kawakami is useful for when you feel like you’re running out of time. She can help you do chores, and even give you extra time to complete stuff that’s more important. Futaba is your main navigator during dungeons and Mementos, and with the right rank, she’ll help you out with a map. Also, during battle, she can provide useful buffs, and can aid downed party members by shielding them from fatal blows.

Kasumi is a lot more useful than you may realize. It’s super helpful to use the grappling hook when wanting to ambush from afar, and she can provide the ability to survive deadly blows. Maruki is vital for helping Joker recover his SP, and aids in recovering party members from status ailments. Finally, Ryuji gives Joker the ability to instantly kill shadows at lower levels, no need to fight when you’ll most likely win.
