Palworld is one of the most successful and popular games of the year so far, and it will only get bigger as developer Pocketpair adds more ingredients to the game. Additions are planned to arrive, and the developer has now opened a testing program where fans can sign up to test ‘exciting new content’ and ‘future Palworld updates’.

Before additions are added to the game, the PC community has the luck of being able to download and install mods. These mods allow fans to breed new unreleased pals from the developer as well as breed Tower Bosses, meanwhile, there’s a game-changer mod that makes the open-world that much easier to navigate.

Mods are a fantastic resource, but, of course, it’s official new content fans anticipate most. The developer says they have ‘some exciting new content lined up,’ but they are currently looking for players to test and provide feedback.

Palworld Testing Program for new content and future updates

Posted in the announcements channel on the Pocketpair Discord page, the Pocketpair community manager, Bucky_cm, has announced that the developer is opening a Palworld Testing Program. The official announcement says Pocketpair ‘have some exciting new content lined up but we are looking for players who can help us test these things and provide feedback’.

Anyone ‘interested in testing future Palworld updates’ can try to sign up, but it’s important to note that this is not about playing new content early. Rather, this is about signing up to help the developer eliminate bugs and issues before updates can be released to the general public.

If you are purely interested in hunting for bugs, glitches, and other potential issues, then you can try to sign up through the official application page. Per the application page, ‘There are still many unfinished parts, so you will not be able to play the entire game during tests’.

Below are all the conditions for potential candidates:

  • Applicants are expected to submit bug reports and feedback during any tests.
  • Applicants must have a working knowledge of Palworld and it’s mechanics.
  • Must have a Steam account.
  • Must be a member of the official Discord community.
  • Must be able to answer any questionnaires in Japanese or English after tests.

Of course, this testing program is only possible for players on Steam and not Xbox. Only one account per person can apply for the test and anyone who has made multiple applications will be banned. If accepted, you will also be prohibited from sharing any screenshots or videos to social media platforms.

It’s fantastic to hear that the devs have ‘exciting new content lined up,’ and this is a great opportunity for anyone who is genuinely interested in becoming part of the process of testing games. As stated by Pocketpair, don’t apply if you just want to experience new content early as that’s not what the testing program is about, you will be utterly disappointed, and it won’t help the developer.
