New game “Moist” is like Terraria but underwater

Indie developer Lavender Studio has announced Moist, a 2D action game with hints of survival, roguelike, and metroidvania elements.

Moist is in development for Windows PC (via Steam), but has no release date set. Players will have to explore the caverns and regions of a local lake, hence the clever but SEO-unfriendly title Moist.

Here’s a brief rundown on the new game, plus its reveal trailer:

Moist is a 2D Action-RPG platformer with roguelike, metroidvania and survival elements in a procedurally generated open world.

You have to explore the surrounding lands and the depths of mysterious caves that have existed for centuries at the bottom of the local lake.

Use a variety of weapons and magic, prepare useful potions, find, create and improve your equipment to wade into the depths through the aggressive environment of the underwater caves.
