MLB The Show 24 Early Access Available for $40 Through Game Pass

MLB The Show 24 early access kicks off tonight at midnight EST (3/15), and if you’re really hungering to get in on it, there is at least one “cheaper” way to get access if you are an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member.

The Microsoft site currently has a deal up for the Digital Deluxe Add-On Bundle, which does not give you access to the game but rather gives you all the downloadable content that comes with the other premium versions:

The Digital Deluxe Add-On Bundle includes the Xbox One Standard Edition Bonus Content, Xbox Series X|S Bonus Content, MVP Edition Bonus Content, and Digital Deluxe Bonus Content.

Again, this notably does not give you access to MLB The Show 24, but if you pre-order this bundle and also have a Game Pass Ultimate subscription, then you can get early access starting tonight:

If you subscribe to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and pre-order the Digital Deluxe Add-On Bundle, you will get access to MLB The Show 24 on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on March 15th 2024 — four days early.

The MVP Edition was previously your cheapest way to get early access, and that costs $85 — but you do also own the game then. If you were planning to use Game Pass anyway as the way to get MLB The Show 24 but don’t have the Ultimate subscription, you can technically sign-up for the Ultimate subscription for $1 and cancel before the end of the 14 days if you don’t want to actually pay the $16.99 a month it usually costs. Now, as I already have an Ultimate subscription I believe this deal is generally for “new” members, but it may allow you to sign-up if you are currently a subscriber of a cheaper version of Game Pass as well.
