Minecraft Dungeons Crosses 25 Million Players

Minecraft Dungeons might not be Microsoft’s biggest or most high-profile release, but the dungeon crawling action RPG spinoff has, nonetheless, managed to attract a healthy player base.

Mojang and Microsoft have announced that Minecraft Dungeons has surpassed 25 million players across all platforms since its launch in May of 2020, nearly three and a half years ago. At last count, in February 2022, that number stood at 15 million players, so the game has clearly maintained impressive momentum in terms of attracting new players.

To commemorate the milestone, a new trailer has also been released, which showcases gameplay footage, highlights some of the game’s many post-launch updates, and of course, thanks the community for its support. Check it out below.

Mojang has also confirmed that update 1.17 was the last big update to release for Minecraft Dungeons, with the dungeon crawler’s development team having shifted focus to new projects, which are also set in the Minecraft universe. You can read more on that through here.

Minecraft Dungeons is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
