The upcoming Skul: The Hero Slayer DLC has a release date, and the game will also be receiving a major free update on the same day, developer Southpaw Games has announced.
The Mythology Pack DLC was originally announced back in October and will add five new skulls to the game, as well as several new items and more. It’s launching on November 15th.
It’s not just the new DLC that’s rolling into town on November 15th, though.
In addition to Mythology Pack, Skul: The Hero Slayer is also getting a huge new update that will add lots of new content including a new narrative chapter, a new final boss and ending, and even a hidden boss to take on.
The update will also bring 30 new inscriptions, so it’s not just the story that’s getting augmented. You can check out a trailer for both the DLC and the new update right here, courtesy of GameTrailers.
If you’re not across Skul: The Hero Slayer, it’s a 2D roguelite action game in which you must equip and use a variety of different skulls to defeat your foes.
Each skull grants new abilities and techniques, so finding one that works for your playstyle is the name of the game.
Originally released back in early 2021, Skul: The Hero Slayer has received a number of updates since its launch, most notably the Dark Mirror update, which added new enemies, abilities, and more.
The Mythology Pack represents the first piece of paid DLC for Skul: The Hero Slayer, but all of the narrative extras will be included with the free update rather than the DLC, so you won’t have to purchase it to get them.
Skul: The Hero Slayer is available right now on PC. Southpaw also says more news on console versions of the game will be coming “soon”, so stay tuned for that.
