While you can unlock the whole map gradually by playing the game, there is a quick workaround, which is as follows:
- Complete the Blood Feuds, Ancient, and Modern mission during Chapter 3.
- Purchase the Saint Denis Times No. 47, which is only sold in Lemoyne.
- Zoom into the following text: You long for sight but see nothing.
- Access the cheats section in the Red Dead Redemption 2 menu and enter that text.
- You will get an Alert informing you about the dangers associated with using cheats in the game. You will now find a new entry in the list of cheats, Fog of War.
- Disable Fog of War to make the whole map visible.
