It won’t be easy, but you won’t regret having this juggernaut on your team. Here is how to find Iron Boulder in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk DLC.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: How to find Iron Boulder in The Indigo Disk DLC
Just like a handful of other Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet, Iron Boulder is one Paradox Pokémon that will require a good amount of time and a couple of tears to be able to both locate and catch in The Indigo Disk DLC. From the get-go, Iron Boulder is exclusive to Violet, so all of you Pokémon Scarlet players are pretty much out of luck unless there’s a friend who’s willing to transfer Iron Boulder to you. Anyway, being a Paradox Pokémon, Iron Boulder is amongst the hardest Pokémon to catch in the game. Similar to Iron Crown, this is because you will need to fulfill a good chunk of objectives and milestones to be able to encounter it in the wild. Feeling ready? Well, let’s begin:
- You will have to complete the Teal Mask quest called Bloodmon Ursulana. This is where you meet Perrin, who is the one who will help you get the Iron Boulder and the other Paradox Pokémon in The Indigo Disk DLC. You can find her in Mossui Town in Kitakami.
- Once you have cleared the mission, you will need to capture and register a total of 200 Pokémon in your Blueberry Pokedex. Explore the Blueberry Academy Terrarium, spend a decent amount of BP in Poke Balls, and catch as many different Pokémon as you can.
- After completing the Pokedex, head to Savanna Rest Area 1 where you will meet Perrin once again. She will be pleasantly surprised by your Pokedex and will show you a picture of the Iron Boulder.
Again, similarly to the Iron Crown encounter, the Iron Boulder is located at Area Zero. However, it is much easier to find. All you need to do is to fast-travel to Research Station 2 and head out. From there, just drop down to the level below. The Iron Boulder will be there waiting for you.

Be sure to catch it with your special Poke Balls and don’t you dare make it faint with your attacks. It is vulnerable to water, grass, ground, bug, ghost, dark, and steel attacks, so consider that and capture it!
