How to Build a Coop

To construct a Coop, you must pay the Carpenter 2,000 Coins for the blueprint. The blueprint necessitates the following materials:

  • 100 Planks of Wood
  • 50 Stones
  • 5 Bronze Bars
  • 10 Fibers

The construction of a Coop requires two in-game days. Once completed, you can house up to four chickens or ducks in it. It’s important to note that the Coop can also accommodate other animals, such as quail and peafowl, but you’ll need to upgrade it to Level Two before being able to purchase them.

How to Build a Barn

From the get-go, Town Rank F, you can acquire the Barn blueprint from the Carpenter for 3,000 Coins. Once you obtain the blueprint, gather the following items to initiate construction:

At Level One, a Barn can accommodate four cows and sheep. To expand your farmhouse further, you’ll need to increase the Barn’s level. After the initial upgrade, you’ll gain the ability to house pigs, llamas, and luwaks as well.

Once you’ve constructed a Barn or Coop on your farm, visit the Ranch and speak with either Jack or Kenny. They offer a variety of animals for sale, depending on your Town Rank. Upon reaching Rank B, you’ll have access to purchasing all Coop and Barn animals, including cows, sheep, goats, pigs, llamas, luwaks, chickens, ducks, quails, and peafowl.

At first, you can only purchase the four starter animals: Chicken and duck for the Coop and cow and sheep for the Barn.

As you progress, consider purchasing auto feeders, petters, and collectors to streamline the care process for your animals. However, it’s crucial to note that maintaining the happiness of your farm animals is essential. Otherwise, they may not produce quality products.


How to Upgrade Your Coop and Barn

After elevating your Town Rank to E, you’ll gain the ability to upgrade the Barn. The renovation process entails an expenditure of 6,500 Coins, along with 40 hardwoods, 100 stones, and 10 fibers. On the other hand, to upgrade the Coop, you must achieve Town Rank C and pay the Carpenter 4,500 Coins. This renovation necessitates 20 hardwoods, 50 stones, and 10 fibers.

In terms of profitability, Peafowls are the most lucrative animals to keep. You can sell a base-quality feather from this animal for 1,085 Coins or 1,475 Coins if it’s large.
