Honkai: Star Rail Introduces Ruan Mei, The New 5-Star Character Coming in Version 1.6

Today HoYoverse released a new trailer of the upcoming new character that will join the playable roster of Honkai: Star Rail, Ruan Mei. 

She’s a five-star Ice character following the path of the Harmony and  Member #81 of the Genius Society. She’s working with Herta on the development of the simulated universe.

She will be made available with the release of Version 1.6 “Crown of the Mundane and Divine” on December 27. 

Ruan Mei is the first of three new characters coming in the new patch alongside the second, four-syar Xueyi.

The third, Dr. Ratio, will be released on the second event warp of the update cycle and will also be claimable for free to celebrate recent awards.

Ruan Mei will also be accompanied by two existing characters, March 7th and Tingyun. The event Warp is titled “Floral Triptych 1.6.

She’s voiced in English by Emi Lo, while her Japanese voice actress is Saori Onishi.

You may know her as Tamaki in Dead or Alive 6 and Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation, Mejiro McQueen in UmaMusume: Pretty Derby, Dana in Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, Carla in Ys IX: Monstrum Nox, Miyako Shikimori in Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie, and Akari Watanabe in More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers.

Honkai: Star Rail is currently available on PC, PS5, iOS, and Android.

HoYoverse recently announced that the PS5  port has surpassed a million users in about a month and provided a glimpse at the upcoming version 2.0 with a new location at The Game Awards, where Honkai: Star Rail won the Best Mobile Game award.

We also recently got the reveal of the first character coming in version 2.0, named Black Swan.
