The Helldivers 2 story is constantly evolving as the Terminid and Automaton threaten the future Super-Earth with more enemies on the horizon. Following the release of the 1.000.103 update, which fixed many issues including players being able to blow up their own exosuits, new issues arose including the Galactic War tracker not tracking.
Arrowhead Game Studios recently took to it’s official Helldivers Discord server to update players on the Galactic War tracker issue saying,
“We’re aware of an issue with the Galactic War not tracking your effective spread of Liberty properly. We are investigating this urgently and will keep you posted as soon as we understand the issue and have a fix to communicate to you.Thanks very much for your patience while we squash some software bugs.”
Following the issue being fixed, Arrowhead Game Studios incorporated it into the Helldivers 2 story, calling it a security breach which has now been addressed.
“A recent systems security breach has resulted in Galactic War tables displaying inaccurate information. The breach has been addressed, and all systems have been returned to normal operation. Any discrepancies are to be considered the result of dissident misinformation. Rest assured that the parties responsible have been identified, arrested, tried, and executed.”
Following the completion of the Terminid Control System Major Orders community event, a new Major Orders began which has players tasked with liberating more planets to further the story. Arrowhead Game Studios has been known to stealth update the game with new story elements, and with the Major Orders bringing permanent changes to the game, players are on their toes because something new could happen at a moments notice, such as when the Shriekers were suddenly spotted in-game without any announcement by the developers that they would be added to the game.
The story of Helldivers 2 is one of the most unpredictable and players are unsure as to what will happen next, which is part of the fun.
