Genshin Impact Competitor Wuthering Waves Shows its Characters, Passes 16 Million Pre-registrations

Today Kuro Games released a new trailer of its upcoming free-to-play action RPG Wuthering Waves, which is proving rather popular.

The trailer focuses on showcasing some of the game’s colorful cast of characters, providing an overview of who we can expect to meet when we play soon.

We also get to see some combat gameplay, which looks as stylish as you may expect from this kind of game.

Wuthering Waves‘ pre-registration campaign is going strong, and it has currently passed 16 million pre-registrations. Specifically, it’s at 16,337,022 at the moment of this writing, which is certainly flattering for a new IP.

The campaign has already reached multiple goals unlocking rewards like 80,000 Shell Credits, 10 Advance Resonance Potions, and 200 Astrite. Another goal at 20 million will unlock a Sigil: En Route, while 20 Lustrous Tides will be unlocked at 30 million pre-registrations.

While that may seem ambitious, if the game can reach 16 million pre-registrations, there is really no reason why it couldn’t pass 30 million. If you want to add to the number, you can do so on the official site.

You can watch the trailer below and see if Wuthering Waves manages to catch your interest.

Wuthering Waves just received a release date for PC, iOS, and Android on May 22, and we already know that it will also come for PS5 and PS4, following the trend for similar games like Genshin Impact and Tower of Fantasy.

At the moment, a release date for the console versions has not been announced.

Kuro Games has revealed many videos and assets to showcase the game, including a video detailing monster capture,  another trailer alongside plenty of gameplay, a trailer revealing the character Sanua, another focusing on another character, Danjin, one showcasing Jianxin, and one showing the initial cutscene for both male and female characters.
