After impressions for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora went live recently, extensive gameplay has emerged courtesy of GameSpot. At about 18 minutes, it showcases several aspects of the open-world first-person shooter. Check it out below.

From flying in the skies and battling the RDA’s Aerospatiale SA-2 Samson to assaulting the faction’s main base, there is much to look forward to. Players will also battle AMP Suits but can exploit various weaknesses, from damaging the cockpit’s glass to kill the pilot to exploding its backpack. Some of Far Cry’s DNA is apparent, whether shutting down the base’s alarm or sliding around (though the player has other movement options mid-air dashing, charged jumps, etc).

A side quest where you must rescue a human pilot is also showcased, along with abilities like using Na’vi Sense to glean information about one’s surroundings. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora launches on December 7th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Check out more details about the gameplay here. PC requirements have also been revealed, with a solid-state drive mandatory for playing.
