Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Reveals Vincent, Cid, and More With Gorgeous Art and Screenshots

Following the reveal of the theme song at The Game Awards 2023, Square Enix shared a press release with tons of new images of the JRPG Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

We get to see the remade looks of Vincent Valentine and Cid Highwind, on top of more characters including Dyne, Dio, and Doctor Sheiran, and summons including Titan, Phoenix, and Bahamut Arisen.

We also get a new and gorgeous piece of key artwork representing the whole party as they look forward to exploring the game’s vast open world.

The new key art shows off the whole party. You can find it in various sizes in the gallery below, so that you can use it as background on your PC or devices.

We also get a comment about the art directly from creative director Tetsuya Nomura.

This is the first-ever showing of the key art for FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH, featuring the party members assembled together.

While they are all facing away from the viewer, I chose to create an image that depicts each member with their own thoughts and feelings on the vast world and unknown journey they are about to embark on.

I hope you will witness for yourself how they will confront the fates that await them in the journey ahead.

The screenshots showcase plenty of familiar characters and places like the Gold Saucer and Corel Prison, on top of gameplay elements like synergy abilities. You can enjoy them all in the gallery below.

Incidentally, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth won the Most Anticipated game award at The Game Awards, exactly as it did at the Golden Joystick Awards.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be released for PS5 on February 29, 2024 (You can already pre-order a physical copy on Amazon). The initial launch will be exclusive to Sony’s console, but we already know that the exclusivity window officially ends only three months after release.

That being said, nothing has been officially announced about other platforms, and ports may or may not take longer to arrive.

If you’d like to know more about the game, you can check out our hands-on preview by our Erren Van Duine and our interview with game director Naoki Hamaguchi, on top of more screenshots from a few weeks ago.
