How to Participate in the Tree Planting Festival
On the 20th of Spring, Mayor Connor will send you an invitation to the Tree Planting Festival. The following day, on Spring 21st, you should make your way to the area near your ranch to kick off the festival. Upon arrival, Mayor Connor will brief you on the rules and direct you to the Cavern, where you’ll depart from Starlet Town and venture into Purwo Woods.
The Tree Planting Festival occurs annually. However, participation in its side quests is only necessary for the first three years. From the fourth year onwards, the festival serves as a gathering place for townies to socialize and chat.
How to Complete the Festival’s Side Quests
During the first three years of the Tree Planting Festival, you must accomplish the following objectives:
- Clear the area: Begin by removing all debris and preparing the designated area for plantation.
- Till the marked areas: Utilize your tools to hoe 2×2 tiles, creating suitable plots for tree planting.
- Plant allotted saplings: Once the area is cleared and the ground is tilled, proceed to plant all the saplings allotted to you from your inventory.
After planting the saplings, you are good to go. Talk to Mayor Connor and leave the festival area to conclude the mission.
By participating in the event, you will earn 70 Friendship Points with all the citizens of Starlet Town.
From the first through the third year, the animations for the festival undergo a change. You’ll observe Purwo Woods transforming into a greener and more vibrant environment, with an increase in plantations and the presence of more animals around.
