Enslaved Beast Weakness (How to Beat)

How to defeat the Enslaved Beast, one of Persona 3 Reload’s Formidable Shadows.

Persona 3 Reload features a seemingly never-ending stream of bosses and enemies for players to fight. From the moment they enter Tartarus, each new floor serves as a puzzle that is solved when discovering the weaknesses of new shadows. While the enemies that roam each floor remain fairly consistent in difficulty, there is one type that provides a much bigger challenge: Formidable Shadows.

Enslaved Beast is one of Persona 3 Reload’s earliest Formidable Shadows, introduced in the Arqa region of Tartarus. This enemy, like all Formidable Shadows, presents a challenge that is well beyond the average fight in Tartarus. These encounters are much closer to the mini-bosses that often act as a barrier to progression. This guide will explain how to easily defeat the Enslaved Beast every time it is encountered.

Enslaved Beast is weak to Fire

  • The Enslaved Beast is weak to all fire-based spells. The Agi spell will likely be the best option for attack at this early-game stage.
  • Luckily, Junpei‘s Persona, Hermes, has Agi as part of its base attack arsenal.
  • Orpheus, Unicorn, and Chimera are all early-game Personas that use Agi and are available to the player character.

Players should have access to Agi through Orpheus, though it is possible to accidentally release or fuse that Persona. If the player is without a Persona with Agi, the best way to quickly change that is by heading to the Velvet Room. There, the Summon feature will allow you to purchase a Persona and summon it to your inventory. Players can also attempt to use Persona 3 Reload‘s Fusion mechanic to create a higher-powered Persona with boosted fire-based spells.

Make sure to also use P3 Reload‘s Shuffle Time mechanic to add new Persona’s to your inventory.

How to Beat the Enslaved Beast in Persona 3 Reload

P3R-Ensalved-Beast-Fight

The Enslaved Beast is one of the easier Formidable Shadow fight in Persona 3 Reload. Because Junpei’s Persona Hermes has Agi, it is possible to get multiple All-Out Attacks per round. This will make the fight somewhat trivial, even with a three-person party.

If playing at a higher difficulty level, it may be wise to wait until Akihiko’s return before heading to the higher levels of Arqa where the Enslaved Beast is likely to be found. With a four-person party, the player character and Junpei can act as the primary attackers, while Yukari and Akihiko can provide support. This will end the fight quickly.
