Do robotic battle for control of a dying world as KEK Entertainment announces Armor Attack

From the massive mecha hits like Armored Core, all the way down to the PS2 Robot Wars game that managed to be utter trash but still great, robotic combat games are fantastically good fun. Looking to wade into this arena next is KEK Entertainment, with their debut game; Armor Attack.

KEK Entertainment is a fairly new company in and of itself, but don’t let that fool you, because they are packing some industry clout. They are staffed by veterans of the industry, coming from big names such as Ubisoft, EA, and DICE, brought together by a desire to make some AAA cross-platform classics.

Armor Attack itself takes place in a rather shattered reality, where the Earth has suffered through decades of war at the hands of three opposing factions, all determined to lead. Combat has evolved into all-out mech vehicle warfare, with customisable tanks, wheeled machines, and robots all up for piloting to determine who will rule this desolated land.

Each vehicle has a deep array of customisations available, with unique drawbacks and benefits. Fit a scout map to find your foes, an energy shield for added safety, or load up on fire bombs and rain AoE hell down upon those foolish enough to face you. Mix your unit abilities, upgrades, weapons and talents to create a jack-of-all-trades drop team, or tailor them to specific objectives.

The maps that you battle across all come with their own important mechanic to master. This can range from a massive AI-controlled boss to deal with, an ever-changing map layout that can swallow you up, or even just a very important piece of high ground to try and hold until you can do your best Obi-Wan impression.

It is not just the machines that matter, it’s also the people, albeit much less. The three factions have their own playing styles to delve into and a fleshed-out backstory for players to discover just why would they stay locked in a war over a dying planet. Do they hope for salvation, control, or are they just looking for some fun as the world burns?

When it launches, Armor Attack will be available on mobile, with full cross-play capabilities.
