Diablo 4 Expansion “Vessel of Hatred” Announced For Late 2024 & It’ll Be Even Darker

Today, during the celebration of BlizzCon 2023, Blizzard Entertainment revealed news about Diablo 4, specifically the reveal of the first expansion.

We get a teaser of the expansion “Vessel of Hatred,” which will be released late next year, with more to be revealed next summer.

It’ll continue the story of Diablo 4 and will focus on what happens with Mephisto and his demonic plans for Sanctuary. It’ll include a new region and a fan favorite from Diablo 2. On top of that, it’ll come with a brand new class never seen before in the Diablo universe.

Of course, the developers also promised “new ways to play, new evils to vanquish. At the moment, no further information about the new class has been shared besides the fact that it’s completely new to the franchise.

More details will come during the panel dedicated to the game tomorrow.

You can watch a teaser trailer below.

On top of the new expansion, we hear that the first holiday event “Midwinter Blight” will start on December 12. Apparently, it’ll involve a “red-cloaked terror.” We also hear that Season 3 (which will follow the current Season of Blood) will include a new challenge called Gauntlet that will include worldwide leaderboards.

Diablo 4 is currently available for purchase for PC via both Battle Net and Steam, PS5, PS4  Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One.
