Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.1 Adds Fully Functional Night City Metro System

In a recent REDstreams broadcast, CD Projekt RED showcased the highly anticipated update 2.1 for Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty. Scheduled for release on December 5th, 2023, the same day as the Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition hits stores, this update promises an array of enhancements and additions to enrich the gaming experience on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC versions.

One of the major highlights of Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.1 is the introduction of the Night City Area Rapid Transport (NCART) metro services, featuring a fully operational train line around Night City. With five metro lines stopping on a total of 19 stations spread throughout the city, players can enjoy this service after V receives the text message from NCART.

CD Project RED has also added a radioport to Cyberpunk 2077 as part of the 2.1 update, allowing V to listen to the radio while exploring Night City on foot or riding the metro. The radioport features adjustable volume and automatically mutes during crucial in-game audio moments, such as conversations.

Cyberpunk 2077 2.1 update also brings enhancement to boss fights, particularly the showdown with Adam Smasher. In this version, Smasher now adapts more effectively to player tactics, becoming more relentless, and incorporates the use of Sandevistan, as he was portrayed in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

Cyberpunk 2077 update also offers various new content for motoring fans. The update includes new vehicles, including new motorbikes, a classic cabriolet version of Porsche 911, replayable car races, and new car chases. Motorbike mechanics have also been refined and will now allow players to throw knives while riding, leaning, doing wheelies, and even flips. There are also newly opened highways for players to explore

In addition to new gameplay features, Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.1 places a strong emphasis on accessibility. The update introduces a range of accessibility features, including colorblind modes, larger font options, aim assist, and more. These features aim to make the game more inclusive and accommodating for a diverse player base.
