Roblox is a free online game loved by millions, as people from all ages come together to enjoy the many experiences the game has to offer. It is also available on many platforms, from mobile, to PC, to console, to tablet, and so players from all device preferences can unite with their love for the game. Does this accessibility extend to the Switch, however?
Can you play Roblox on the Nintendo Switch?
So, there’s good news and bad news here. The official answer is no, there is no official way to play Roblox on the Switch. But that hasn’t stopped people from doing it anyway.
Roblox isn’t accessed through just the app, as the game has a browser version, too. Being able to sign into the game allows progress to be tracked and accessed from any account, as long as the same account is connected. This is what you will have to do to play Roblox on the Switch.’
There is an internet browser that comes installed on the Switch, not that most probably noticed it, it’s rather hidden. Access the Roblox website and sign in like you would on any other device. TO do this, however, you need to set the system’s Primary DNS to 045.055.142.12. You can do this through the system settings.

How to change the Primary DNS on the Switch
To change the Primary DNS on your Switch, head over to the system settings. Scroll down to ‘Internet’ and then select ‘Internet Settings’. Select your internet connection and select ‘Change Settings’. From there, select ‘DNS Settings’ and change it to manual.
From there, you can simply change the numbers on the Primary DNS part to 045.055.142.12, and you’ll be ready for some Roblox! And don’t worry, this is safe to do and won’t mess with your Switch in strange or unprecedented ways. It simply will allow Roblox to interact with your Switch better.
Will Roblox ever be available on the Switch?
There are no official plans to make the cross over onto the Switch. But with the recent roll out onto the PlayStation after all these years, I wouldn’t say it’s off the table. If Roblox ever does decide to launch on the Switch in the future, we’ll report on it as soon as we can.
I hope this has helped you out, and hope that the news isn’t too disappointing. For even more Roblox help, look no further than PC Invasion.
