As the player grows up, they will start to consider finding that special someone. This implements the dating simulator mechanics into the game, as players consider if the friends they have made are suitable for eventual romantic feelings.

7 Ambition: A Minuet In Power

Gamers can become an upper-class woman of 19th Century Paris and get involved in all the most scandalous gossip in Ambition: A Minuet in Power. Surviving political turmoil is only one aspect of this interesting visual novel dating sim with RPG elements, as players also have six charming characters they can romance throughout the story.

Paris is a dangerous place, and it’s up to the player to make the right choices and keep their nose out of certain things if they want to avoid the guillotine. Though it’s always fun to use the power of nobility to get what the player wants in the end.

6 Pendula Swing – The Complete Journey

Pendula Swing is a point-and-click RPG that is set in a fantasy version of the 1920s. Players are free to explore the world and uncover countless quests and NPCs for them to romance. In Pendula Swing the player is already deemed a hero by the people, as they are somewhat of a celebrity. Although, this doesn’t make finding romance any easier.

Besides being the hero, this protagonist has a sad past, which is due to the death of their loved one. However, it’s finally time for them to go back out into the world and find a new person to love, all while getting involved in other RPG activities.

5 Our Life: Beginnings & Always

Our Life: Beginnings & Always, is similar to Growing Up, as players get to create their character and age alongside them. Unlike Growing Up, however, Our Life has a deeper focus on the romance that occurs between the player’s character and the green-haired boy that moves into the neighborhood.

It boils down to the player to determine how quickly feelings progress between the two characters, with them deciding if a crush forms when they were younger or if the love between them burns slowly. What makes it even better, is that this RPG dating simulator is entirely free to players with added scenarios being paid for. Even without this content, Our Life: Beginnings & Always is a great title.

4 Potionomics

The curse of inheriting shops or land from family members continues with Potionomics. In this RPG players have inherited their uncle’s Alchemy shop, and they must work hard if they hope to get rid of the debt that has been placed on it. The player won’t always be trapped in their shop, as they have the chance to befriend the fellow vendors of the game for more than just a discount.

In Potionomics, a player is building a deck of cards through how they have bonded with these characters. While a player can only date one character, this doesn’t block the player from any gameplay features from the other potential suitors, other than only being able to be best friends with them.

3 My Time At Sandrock

My Time at Sandrock is the second game in the My Time At franchise created by Pathea Games. This series sees players take on the role of a builder in a usually rundown little town that is the aftermath of a world that has had to go back to basics after some catastrophic event. While players are left helping the desert town in My Time at Sandrock, they are also free to do whatever they wish in this RPG.

One such mechanic is getting to know the townsfolk by giving them gifts, completing their quests, and simply chatting with them. Eventually, once they have enough hearts, players can even start a romantic relationship with one of the citizens of Sandrock. This itself comes with a romance quest line to complete as well as players being able to take their loved one out on adorable dates.

2 Stardew Valley

Farming life can be lonely, but that doesn’t mean it has to be. Stardew Valley hands players their own farmland that they must work hard to get back into shape. When they aren’t toiling soil or feeding their animals, they have the chance to step foot into the town of Stardew to talk to the locals. With specific likes and dislikes, players are free to gift these townsfolk items that they enjoy the most in a hope of getting closer to them.

Achieving a certain number of hearts in Stardew Valley will trigger social events that the player is able to experience from learning more about the character and the issues they face in this small town. Eventually, this can turn into dating, which can lead to them getting married to that character and inviting them to live on the farm.

While attempting to possibly save the world, there is still plenty of time to make friends or even enemies. Better yet, players can also go on dates and fall in love. The cast of I Was a Teenage Exocolonist provides plenty of suitable partners, who all have their own interesting stories with even more fascinating endings to unlock.
