Behold Final Fantasy XIV’s Fabulous Potential New Hairstyles as Design Contest Winners Are Revealed

Today Square Enix announced the winners of its recent Final Fantasy XIV Hairstyle Design Contest 2023.

The developers revealed 40 winning entries, providing a glimpse on some of the hairstyles that might make it in the game in the future.

The rules of the contest determine that entries that are considered excellent can be implemented into Final Fantasy XIV and become available to players. That being said, there’s no guarantee that all of the hairstyle that won will make it into the game itself.

The “Braided Half-up” hairstyle by Kazetani Harunaga. The hairstyle in the featured image at the top is Beauty in Bloom by MissMoonRiver.

Below you can take a look at all the winning hairstyles, which are definitely gorgeous, showing once again that there is a ton of creativity within the Final Fantasy XIV community.

Considering how important fashion and self-expression have become in the game, I’m sure many would be delighted to be able to put someof the hairstyles you see on their favorite characters. I know I have my eyes on a couple.

Final Fantasy XIV is currently available for PS5, PS4, PC, and Mac, while a brand-new Xbox Series X|S port will be released next year with an open beta starting in January. If you’re interested in trying out this successful MMORPG, you can purchase it on Amazon.

A brand-new expasnion titled “Dawntrail” is coming next summer, and it will include a new dual-wielding job named “Viper” which has been revealed at the latest Fan Festival in London, which happened at the end of October.

The reveal cycle of the expansion is far from finished, nd we can expect more information to come at the beginning of January, with the third Fan Festival of the 2023-24 cycle happening in Tokyo, Japan.

Considering that the expansion will be accompanied by an extensive graphics overhaul, we may even see some of the hairstyles portrayed here be included in the package, albeit there’s no way to know, for now.
