Lantern Rite is a Genshin Impact yearly event that aligns with the Lunar New Year timing. The event rewards Travelers with a four-star Liyue character of their choice each year. Apart from that, the Liyue yearly event offers players generous rewards like Primogems, Ascension materials, upgrading materials, decoration items, and Recipes.
The Lantern Rite 2024 shop is where Travelers can get Xingqiu’s Bamboo Rain outfit after acquiring 600 Festive Fever. To obtain the Genshin Impact Lantern Rite currency, players must participate in the Felicitous Festivities events. It is divided into three categories; Paper Shadows A-Foraging, Joyful Beasts and Their Auspices, and Iridescent Cloud-Striding.

Charlotte Location
Genshin Impact Charlotte is standing northeast of Liyue Harbor’s northwestern Waypoint. Upon starting a conversation with her, players can ask her about the interview and working together with Gaming’s father, and the Lantern Rite.
Jiehu (Moonstone Shaper) And Houzhang (Moon Craver) Location
From the previous location, go northeast toward the center of Liyue Harbor to locate Jiehu (Moonstone Shaper) and Houzhang (Moon Craver). Approaching them will lead Travelers to listen to their conversation about their missed old friends.
Nadia And Vlad Location
From Jiehu and Houzhang location in Genshin Impact, head southeast to find Nadia and Vlad. Both of them will be standing at the other edge of Liyue Harbor port center, where players can overhear their conversation about the Lantern Rite Kites.
Gaming And Yip Tak Location
Gaming and his father, Yipo Tak, will be standing next to the stairs northeast of Mingxing Jewelry shop at Liyue Harbor. Approach them and listen to their conversation about Gaming unchanging love for Winter Melon Cake.
Yaoyao And Qiqi Location
From the previous location in Genshin Impact, head northeast and climb the stairs to find Yaoyao and Qiqi chatting about how they want to fly Kites again at the Lantern Rite.
Ganyu And Shenhe Location
Fast travel to Liyue Harbor southeast Waypoint and go east to locate Ganyu and Shenhe in Genshin Impact. Striking a conversation with them will make players witness Ganyu convincing Shenhe that her new outfit is more than okay for festive spirits during the Lantern Rite.
Xianyun And Keqing Location
Xianyun and Keqing are north of Liyue Harbor Adventure’s Guild in Genshin Impact. Approach the two and witness Keqing hand over the Kite-Flying competition prize to Xianyun, who thinks that someone else deserves it more than her.
Xiao Location
Xiao will be watching over his shrine as usual. Unlike all other Genshin Impact characters and NPCs, striking up a conversation with Xiao will play a cut scene where Xiao asks Travelers to help him fly a Xiao Lantern. After the Lantern flies disappear into the night sky, chat with Xiao again to hear him say thank you.
