Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma 2 sets itself apart from many other action-adventure titles on the market on account of its Pawn system. In the game, you will not only create your own character, but also craft your own loyal companion to travel and fight by your side for the duration of your journey. In fact, you can hire additional Pawns to grow your party and showcase your skills as a team against the game’s formidable foes.
A player’s Pawn in Dragon’s Dogma 2 will not only help you to battle mythical creatures and complete quests, but it may also be recruited by other players in their own servers. On these occasions, you have the opportunity to assign a Pawn Quest to your companion, which will allow other players to complete objectives and help to make your Pawn stronger in the background. Here is everything you need to know to set up these quests for your partner in adventure.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: How To Destroy Bridges (& How To Repair Them)
Players can destroy bridges in Dragon’s Dogma 2 to cut off enemies. Here’s how to do it, and how to repair them so you can pass through them again.
What Are Pawn Quests In Dragon’s Dogma 2?
Pawn Quests are objectives set by the original creator of a Pawn, and task players with completing a job using the recruited Pawn for a predetermined reward. These tasks can vary in their nature and difficulty, and rewards can be in the form of coins or specific items, either of which are determined by the Pawn’s owner.
When you are recruiting a new Pawn to your team, you will have the opportunity to view any active Pawn Quests attached to it. They are completely optional and there are no consequences for not completing them, but they can be a good way to earn some extra gold or resources while playing through the game.
How To Assign Pawn Quests In Dragon’s Dogma 2
For the occasions when your Pawn is chosen by another Arisen who is on a playthrough of Dragon’s Dogma 2, there is an opportunity for them to gain badges and more experience in the field, which will only serve to make them an even better travel companion down the line. To make the most of these recruitment periods, you can set Pawn Quests for other players to complete.
To set up a Pawn Quest, you will need to visit a Grand Riftstone, like the one up the stairs from the Vernworth Merchant Quarter, and interact with it. Once the Riftstone has taken you to the Rift, walk up to the stone again and press the indicated button to examine it. This will bring up a list of options, one of which prompts you to set a Pawn Quest.
Setting a Pawn Quest is a matter of selecting a “Request for Other Player” and “Reward for Other Player”. These will be instructions players see when they look to recruit your Pawn. The Requests are attached to Pawn Badges and can vary from combat objectives to traveling and camping tasks, and will be accompanied by a reward of either gold or an item of your choosing. To adjust these, simply enter the Request or Reward section and cycle through the options until you are satisfied with your choice.
You may also change a Pawn Quest if your Pawn returns with rewards from being recruited by another player. This will happen, when applicable, after you have risen from a rest.
