Third-party developers shared news and releases about add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator, including an aircraft and an airport.
We start with the the freeware Embraer E170 and E175 by Ouroboros, which got a new development update and new screenshots shared on the developer’s Discord server.
This time around we get to see progress made on the external lighting, including the following.
- All Emissives Updated
- Legacy XML Code Removed
- Navigation Lights
- Landing Lights
- Strobe Lights
- Beacon Lights
- Wing Inspection Lights
- Logo Lights
- Taxi & Turnoff Lights
- Etc Lighting tweaks
Incidentally, on top of the screenshots, we also get a short video which you can download directly from Discord.
Moving away from the realm of freeware, we get an airport release by XWind, published by iniBuilds. It’s Chicago Rockford International Airport (KRFD) in the United States, one of several airports that aren’t really that close to Chicago, but are still called Chicago for marketing reasons.
It’s available on iniBuilds’ store and Simmarket for $16.54, including the following perks.
- Custom Imagery
- Custom ground polygon
- Highly detailed terminal interior
- PBR models and 4k textures
- Detailed models
- Accurate Dynamic Lighting
- LOD optimized for all models to achieve balanced performance
As usual, please keep in mind that here on TechRaptor we publish daily Microsoft Flight Simulator news to help you navigate the lively but sometimes chaotic third-party add-on industry for the simulator.
