Game Of Thrones And Harry Potter’s Natalia Tena Rumored To Join MCU

The MCU gains a link with the Game of Thrones and Harry Potter franchises as one star who played prominent roles in both popular IPs has reportedly joined the MCU on the sly.

The high-profile nature of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the sheer scale and number of projects therein have all but ensured that the franchise welcomes talent that fans have already seen perform in other high-profile franchises, often to fan excitement. While Pedro Pascal may be the ultimate franchise actor with roles in many fan-favorite films and series, a new rumor suggests that one of his Game of Thrones co-stars followed in those footsteps with some quiet behind-the-scenes moves. According to trusted source Daniel Richtman, Game of Thrones star Natalia Tena has not only been cast in the MCU in a currently unknown role but has also filmed scenes for an upcoming project. Tena, who plays Osha, the wildling woman and guardian to the younger Stark boys on Game of Thrones, has also played a role in the Harry Potter franchise as the auror Nymphadora Tonks.

While there aren’t any details about what role Tena was cast in or which project she will appear in, the star could be in any of the many MCU projects being released in 2025. It’s much less likely but not entirely impossible that she will appear in one of the two MCU projects set to premiere this year, with casting for Deadpool and Wolverine and Agatha: Darkhold Diaries already being settled and widely announced. A potential appearance as a voice actor for an upcoming animated project like X-Men ’97 or another project further down the line than the 2025 slate is less likely.

In addition to portraying one of the most iconic Aurors in Harry Potter and a major supporting character on the massive hit Game of Thrones, Tena has also starred in projects as diverse and high-profile as Shameless, The Mandalorian, Black Mirror, John Wick 4, and more. Odds are that fans are already familiar with her work, and they’ll be glad to have her join the MCU at such a pivotal junction in the franchise. The seemingly secretive casting could indicate many things, ranging from a minor role or voice acting gig to a massive, franchise-altering casting with knock-on effects for the future of Marvel Studios’ films and movies. Fans can only speculate with the bits of information available at this time, and that’s half the fun these days.

What’s sure is that Tena will likely enjoy the new opportunity, considering it wasn’t so long ago that Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke praised her MCU tenure.
