The Fortnite OG map is a distant memory for millions of players. Epic Games brought it back in November 2023, allowing players to experience it for a month. However, the map has been removed from the game, and the community is patiently waiting for its return.
Epic already revealed that the OG map would return in 2024. In fact, the development team has already begun working on it. Fortunately, players who want to experience the OG map will be able to play it very soon. The map will return to Creative mode and will be a realistic recreation of the first map in the OG Season.
The Fortnite OG map is coming to Creative mode
Talented Fortnite creator Milo is working on bringing the OG map back to Fortnite. The map developer has posted progress on X (formerly Twitter), showing off everything that will arrive with the map. Interestingly, the map is complete, but the creator needs to polish it and fix some issues before publishing it.
Unsurprisingly, the map is created with UEFN, which has many fantastic features. The map creator revealed a couple of important things about the map. First, it will feature the Season 5 map from Chapter 1, which is the same map that was used at the start of the OG Season. Secondly, the map will function as the Playground mode at first.
The map developer intends to add the battle royale mode to the Fortnite OG map in the future. However, its first version will be much simpler. Once the creator resolves all the bugs and makes sure that the map is working properly, it will be easy to add a PvP mode.
The release date of the map is currently unknown. However, considering that the map is done, we expect it to come out by the end of February. Before the month ends, though, make sure to grab free Fortnite skins to expand your locker.
