The speculation comes from a social media post by Marcel Hatam, who posted his anticipated games for 2024 online, with one, in particular, being written as a “TBA game.”
Bethesda Softworks is a video game developer and publisher known for launching and publishing various IPs. Aside from its in-house development team at Bethesda Game Studios (The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Starfield), Bethesda Softworks has published titles from companies like id Software, Arkane Studios, MachineGames, Tango Gameworks, and ZeniMax Online Studios. After Microsoft acquired ZeniMax Media in 2021, Bethesda maintains its functions as a publisher, with upcoming projects like Marvel’s Blade, Fallout 5, The Elder Scrolls 6, and the untitled Indiana Jones game currently in the works. While these projects have been announced, Bethesda fans are starting to think another title is coming from the publisher’s line of upcoming games.

Some of Bethesda’s best games are hidden gems underneath the titanic Fallout and The Elder Scrolls franchises.
From the looks of it, it appears that an announced Bethesda game might be released this year. Fans are starting to theorize which Bethesda game it could be after Marcel Hatam, the Senior Product Marketing Manager GSA at ZeniMax Germany, posted ten video games in 2024 that he’s most looking forward to playing. Each entry is an announced and upcoming game, though his fourth pick merely reads “TBA game,” followed by the eyes emoji. Originally appearing on Hatam’s LinkedIn profile, the post shows images from Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, Star Wars Outlaws, and Assassin’s Creed: Codename Red.
Hatam’s LinkedIn post was shared elsewhere, mainly on Twitter, where users provided hints and suggestions about the fourth entry/mystery game. Some believe it could be the next installment in the Wolfenstein reboot series by MachineGames; others think it could be the aforementioned untitled Indiana Jones, also by MachineGames. Alternatively, there’s the idea that it could be a new game from id Software, with its last game being Quake Champions for 2022. Another suggestion is that the unknown game could be the sequel to Ghostwire: Tokyo, resulting from the FTC v. Microsoft court case, which saw vital documents getting leaked to the public.
However, one user pointed out that Hatam’s fourth entry might not be a published game from Bethesda Softworks. “This may not even be a Bethesda/Zenimax game. He has many third party games on there,” the user wrote. This seems somewhat unlikely, considering Hatam’s position as a product marketing manager for ZeniMax.
The fact that Bethesda might be surprising its fans with a game this year is exciting to think about, yet Hatam’s “TBA” game could be anything from the ZeniMax family of games. However, judging by the ambiguity, the game could be something that’s not related to ZeniMax as well. Only time will tell in this case.
