If you’re exploring the Sword Coast and Faerûn in Baldur’s Gate 3, some fans among you might be curious about its connections to the D&D canon. Chances are, you’ll stumble into a connection with the Zhentarim, but here’s where to find their hideout in Baldur’s Gate 3!
How to find Zhentarim Hideout Location in Baldurs Gate 3 (BG3)
The best way to find the Zhentarim Hideout in Baldur’s Gate 3 is by helping Rugan and Olly fight off gnolls at The Risen Road. If you’ve not had this encounter yet, you can reach the cave’s mouth at X: 33, Y: 610, but I recommend another entrance at X: 52, Y: 566. It’s got a set of tripwires so get your perception dice ready, you’ll need to spot them before disarming them!

Fighting and defeating the gnolls while keeping Rugan alive will prompt him to tell you the hideout’s location and password. Don’t forget to check Flint’s corpse for a parasite specimen!
Where is the Zhentarim Hideout in BG3?
The Zhentarim Hideout is inside a small building on the western edge of Waukeen’s Rest, X: -113, Y: 614 in Baldur’s Gate 3. Here you’ll see some blockage in front of a shabby door. You can speak to Salazon and, if Rugan gave you the password, you can recite it: ‘Little serpent, long shadow.’ Past Salazon is a hatch, and in the area below, interact with a bookcase opening a passage. Below is the Zhentarim Hideout!
If Rugan is dead and you still wish to get in, you can use ‘Speak with Dead’ and talk to his corpse. Do this at the cave where you met him to get the password. Either way, when you’re down there, speak to Zarys and get her thanks! If you spared Rugan and chose not to take from the locked chest he was guarding, Zarys will give you some cool rewards. One I particularly liked was the rare crossbow Harold!
