Welcome back to Waifu Wednesday, Niche Gamer’s column where we talk about characters, their appeal, and a little on their history.
This past Sunday was Father’s Day, so to celebrate our special Waifu Wednesday feature is Chilchuck from Dungeon Meshi.
Fun fact, Chilchuck is a father of three girls, Meijack, Flertom, and Puckpatti. Of course as a half-foot (the Dungeon Meshi equivalent of halflings) he’s often mistaken for a child by strangers and even his fellow party members, in spite of his fed-up middle-aged man energy.
Chilchuck also takes a fatherly role in the party, particularly with Marcille. Chilchuck regularly takes responsibility when the party is being lax or unguarded, and he always has convenient items for Marcille to do her hair.
Normally we feature characters suggested by readers on our social media, but this is a Father’s Day special. Check back next week for our regularly scheduled fan waifus.
